About

We are a mother (Mary) & daughter (Kristine) duo who have embarked on writing a cookbook, and have started this blog to document our everyday experiences with food. Kristine is a public relations executive and Mary is retired living the good life in Florida. Together, we share a love of food and want to share our experiences with other like minded foodies.

    Mary,

Loved the refridgerator cookie saga. I have a feeling even if you were to find the right receipe that it still would not be the same as Randy remembers. We have a tendency to remember things from our childhood that we remember being better than it actually was at that time.

You and your daughter also have a wonderful gift of writing. Enjoying your website.

    Take care,

    Cindy

    • Hi, Cindy–I think you are right. I think what I am discovering is that the cookies are really just a way to recall wonderful memories of his mom. They didn’t always have a good relationship as he got older and the cookies are his way of having good, fun and positive thoughts about her. And, you know what that is just wonderful. In the next week or so I will try again then hang up my spoon on this one. My daughter and I are having fun with this new project. Thank you for stopping by our site and leaving some words. Mary

Please can you give me permission and I will of course credit the image to you and your blog. If I could know as soon as possible as I go to press next week

    Hi Mary

    Many thanks

I will use your blog address for the photo credit. Might as well drive people to your website,
    All the best

    • Graham, Thanks so much. Yes, we are always happy to have readers come along and enjoy what we have written about. The motorcycle trip we took in July 2010 lasted three weeks and I blogged every day. We loved traveling through Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick. The ferry was a little scary with the motorcycles and crossing the Confederate Bridge. I fell in love with the farmland on Prince William Island. Everywhere it look so pristine and beautiful. We really had a great time driving our mototcycles on Cabot Trail. Oops, I need to stop. I really could go on forever about our trip I loved it so much. But then you can read about it on the blog.

Our next big trip will be this June we are going to take a motorcycle trip up the 441 miles in the Natchez Trace State Park starting in Mississippi and ending in Tennessee then up to Macinaw Island, Michigan. I will be blogging the entire way. Hope you can find time to read along.

Again, thanks for using my photo and I will look forward to reading your story. Mary

I mentioned that I would also post on your facebook account. Thank you so much for your interest in our blog. We loved riding the Trace and look forward to visiting again in the future. • Hello Keven–Thanks for stopping by and leaving some words. I have been blogging since May 7,2010. Actually, my daughter Kristine and I started together. Eventually though I have been the sole blogger for quite a while. I enjoy writing about food, food I find on my travels and just happenings in my life. Eventually, I would like to devote more time to the blog but at the moment I still work (only part-time) but it does take a good bit of my time. I am working towards refining both my writing and photography skills. Keep reading. Again, thanks for stopping by. Mary
